- In speaking of myself, I am a 40 year old freelance writer/poet. I am also a 2005 hurricane Katrina survivor and a proud mother of a teenage daughter. Presently, I am a homemaker, but I have been actively pursuing a writing career ever since 2005. Although I have had great success in being published as a poet, my overall goal and dream in being a writer is to continue pursuing my dream of someday becoming a published magazine or book author.
